About Us

Who are we?

Dive Newfoundland (previously Atlantic Scuba and Survival Centre) was formed in 2005 with the goal of providing the most complete dive training and retail centre in Newfoundland by offering all levels of diver training through a variety of agencies such as:

• PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)

• DSAT (Diving Science and Technology)

• DAN (Divers Alert Network)

• EFR (Emergency First Response) and

• IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers)

We provide a complete range of dive services whether you are just looking at getting into diving or you are an experienced Instructor looking to expand your teaching credentials.

Dive Newfoundland carries the best brands in the diving industry including including being the exclusive provider of Apeks, Aqualung, SeaQuest, and Pinnacle on the Avalon Peninsula.

We offer a full range of rental including Enriched Air, Oxygen, Trimix and Argon fills, a complete service area and a huge selection of rental equipment to fulfill your needs.

Dive Newfoundland has a mandate to provide divers with an increased opportunity to dive a greater variety of sites throughout the province and through local trips with the Water Dogs Scuba Club as well as tropical dive getaways, we make it easier for you to do what you love - to go diving!

• Professional Classroom Environment:  If you course involves classroom training, it will be completed in our professional boardroom on Stavanger Driver.

• Large Training Pools:  Your pool dives are completed either at Memorial University using the MUN pool (at the Fieldhouse) or the Aquarena; Wedgewood Park or Bowring Park pool.  These pools are large enough and deep enough to allow all of the students on the course to practice their skills in the deep end simultaneously.  This allows you to experience real dive environments during your training.  Our summer training location at Bowring Park has a 15' deep end!

• Local Facilities:  Dive Newfoundland's Stavanger Dive location is within 10 minutes of not only the pool training sites for open water divers:  Tapper's Cove, Bauline and Portugal Cove

• Experience:  Dive Newfoundland is the only facility in Newfoundland to have a resident Instructor Trainer with over 20 years of global diver training experience.

• Quality Equipment:  The gear you train with is important - all Dive Newfoundland equipment is the highest quality dive equipment including the top brands in the industry - Aqua Lung, Apeks, SeaQuest, etc.

• Active Dive Club:  The Water Dogs Scuba Club provides you with opportunities to meet other divers and to dive a variety of exciting sites.  Dive the Bell Island Wrecks on club trips at special prices.
